Love? Life? I don't know. You decide.
The Pretender

There are those who know,
and those who don't.
Those who pretend,
and those who won't.

As the sky shifts from day to night,

the wind surges with amazing fright.

Steps out a man from his scarlet red room,

illuminated silhouette by the crescent moon.

As he walks through the forest alone,

carefully protecting the footprints he owns;

The Earth beneath him shakes

an enormous canyon forms in his quake.

One could peer down below,

into an abyss with no light, no glow.

Only darkness to fill the heart,

only shadows to break apart.

But as he circumnavigates the globe,

the entire world takes hold.

For the earth has splint in two,

instilled by an impending doom.

Silhouetted face, no more to be seen,

fallen through the cracks of his dream.

A blinding light sparks from where he once stood,

An audience in awe as they misunderstood
