Not much has really changed

Life in this world

is not what I thought it would be

A world of joy and love

i see a baby girl

with wires and needles

through her body

why does she have them

running through her?

Why are the doctors pricking her?

Will the child survive their torment?

Are these things necessary for her to live?

On-going tears flow off her cheeks

expressing agonizing pain.

When will someone stop her suffering ?

Parents and those who care

want this toddler to

Laugh

Cry

and explore the world

like any other kid.

She begins to go through life

Learing to

Talk

Walk

and think for herself

Knowing what is right from wrong.

There are diffcult tunnels in life

lies ahead of her

at such a young age.

Having these paths

leading in mixed preceptions

of life and death.

What does she do?

She can't do anything.

Afraid of someone hurting her

physically and emotionally.

She runs to her home

where she consider it to be

a safe place

To shelter her from the harmful things people did.

Her parents

are always there for her

Showering her with their love.

As she got older

All the teasing and yelling

become more frequent around her

The place she once thought was safe was not

Her parents changed

All the nagging

Pushing

Hollering

was too much to bare

She wants to get away.

She asks herself

why do people mock and shout?

She is always quiet

Too scared to say a word

Why does it seem that way ?

Is everyone so selfish and greedy

that no one knows she is even there?

She does not want to disturb

others who feel the world

revolves around them.

She wants a friend.

Someone who experiences the

same feelings she does.

Being alone and hopeless.

She finds new ways

to deal with her pain from

the past. She remembers the feeling

of  having the love and power

of God by her side.

She keeps in mind

that the Lord is

by her side and always has been.

She begins to return to

the hands of the almighty

and feels as if she can

go on with her life

without a feeling of

being worthless and

unwanted, she sees

her reason to be

in this world.

Jesus wanted her to spread

God's message and

be the best person she can be.

But turning to the hands of God,

sometimes does not seem enough.

She often questions what will become

of her.

Her usage of turning to

the Lord helps her

pass the days of sorrow

and loneliness away.

After seeing her past and present

nothing has really changed.

Even if she tried

the only thing that

has changed is

the environment around her.

Her feelings toward others

will always stay the same.

She does not want anyone who

will wound her or play games

with her heart.

All she wants is to be accepted

by someone,somewhere somehow

for who she is and what she has become.
