Life

A ball, spinning brilliant white against dark, black pavement,
A moon among stars, spinning, around the earth, our home,
The sun bright against both, shining stronger then any of us could,
A ball, still spinning, slowing now, stopping,
Even if the moon, the stars, the sun, our world,
does not.
