When You Were Really There
When You Were Really There

I wait for the end of time

For it lies so near

I cry for the shattered words

Whispered in my ear

I call with all my being

To be moved away

Where brightness is singing

To the suns light

And the mornings day

But Im stuck in a cage

Burned out by rage

My fists are bleeding

And so is my heart

Emptiness goes on forever

Which will never, ever part

Faint memories of life

Are blurred through dust and youth

That lies in broken hearts and minds

and has lost the meaning of truth

Your thoughts are gone into the wind

No one left to hear

But still whispers of the forgotten times

Of when you were really there.
