when you follow the path of your dreams, your fears always lurk around you...
My Fears and My Dreams

With a heart of icicle, my eyes skywards,

I watch the enchantment of this silent snow,

Shivering whites; like my lost dream…

And the rivers of my desires that have ceased to flow

My way is blocked; my feet are frozen

But I have this sky and I am so secure…

With my fears buried under this sheet of silver,

I have nothing to lose; I have nowhere to go.

My tears are diminishing in the shadows of my atonement;

My wings are broken but I don’t want to flee.

It’s so beautiful, this shimmer of whiteness…

And I stand in its shroud like a lone, bare tree

The wind is ominous but my leaves have already wilted;

I am so numb; I am so free,

With my fears sleeping somewhere beyond this winter

And my cold, forgotten dreams piling up around me…
