When you find something that means a world to you...
Shades of Purple at the Nightfall

You’re still hiding behind these azure skies
Like a lone, inconspicuous, glimmering star…
This sunshine can’t mend the lacerations in my entity;
I am tattered and wasted; I have travelled so far…
Stumbling after this wind, chasing an illusion,
I whisper your name in vain as I crawl…
Hoping to find you before these walls close in on me,
In these shades of purple, at the nightfall.

I’ve seen your face in the wisps of my dreams,
Like a gust of breeze in the stillness of a night,
I’ve seen your smile in the dewdrops on the leaves,
shimmering wistfully in the silver moonlight.
I’ve stood in the relentless wind, reaching out for your hand…
I’ve been washed away in the cold, gray rainfalls.
I’ve existed at the mercy of the whims of my fate…
In these shades of purple, at the nightfall.

These tides rise with the pinnacles of my sentiments;
I am rushing through these waves; your heart’s a precipice.
Beyond these infinite horizons, you spread your wings…
And this dark sunset becomes my gorgeous sunrise.
My mirage has been subdued in the depths of the oceans
I’ve opened my eyes, once and for all;
I finally see the promise I’ve been searching for so long…
In these shades of purple, at the nightfall.
