An attempt to describe class struggle.
The Stain

A ragged cut, bleeding hard
The chisel has bit, cruel metal
A rag is pressed, the stain spreads
No recompense, the door is there
Can't work, can't eat, you shrug

From field to mill, mill to mine
A worker sweats, breathing dust
A frocked man grows fat, leering
A struggle is made, yeomans murder
the stain spreads

We break the law, your law
The factories grow, then emigrate
Outsourcing is God, worshipped
Exploitation grows, moving abroad
the stain spreads

You break us, fat fingers pressing
Stocks to treadmill, gallows to cells
You fear our strength, hidden inside
You are few, we are many, united
the stain spreads

A red rag flutters, small but bright
You dismiss, but the banner grows
Our blood is shed, struggling bravely
The pennant will cover you forever
the stain spreads
