Fictional poem
WINGS

My mother always said people don't have wings; they're for fallen heroes, angels and flying things.
Next I asked my grandmother, to see what she would say; she put her head down and looked the other way.
When I asked my aunt to see what she could do; all I got was a hug and a meaningful I love you.
Now I remember what my father once told me; God only gives his wings to people he really needs to see.
So now I'm not so sad he took my dad from me; for I understand he was the person God really needed to see.
I wish I could have him back, for the good times that we shared; but I know he can visit me which reminds me how much he cared.
Because of my dad, I won't be scared when God gives wings to me; for I'll be next on his list of people he needs to see.
