we sit in the park
so close on the bench in the sand.
we're watching the starry night
as you reach for my hand.
you turn looking deeply into my eyes
the kiss you give comes as no surprise.

the night is cool
brought on by the wind.
we laugh and joke
as if best of friends.

saying goodbye with the rising sun
leaves me wondering if you are the one.
