A short poem for my uncle and my best friend.

I love you, but I never got to say goodbye
I wanted you to go to heaven, but not to die
Although you are now in a far better place
It broke my heart that you had to lose the race
I hate the cancer that cut through your body like a knife
Much too young to die
When time passed you bye
Who will remember you when I am gone?
