About a general foreign person's view of Independance Day.
I see foreign people
In their native land
Shouting and celebrating
A freedom they once didn't have

Multi-colored explosions
Appear in the dark night sky
Little children run with sparkling rods
And miniscule rockets go flying by

I sit to stare at the pyrotechnics
Not quite common in my home land
The people ignore the apparent danger
That comes with explosive contraband

As the night reaches further on
The sparks in the sky slow and fade
I note the appreciation
They show for the sacrifice their ancestors made
