A poem for my future child Eden.
How can I miss
who I've never met?

Why do I feel
such deep regret?

Will you please
come see me someday?

Can you at least
send your love my way?

I love you so much,
more than you know.

It hurts more and more,
as the days come and go.

This is for you,
for when you can read.

And maybe some day,
you'll know my need.

My need to have,
to hold you so close.

To cherish you always,
to love you the most.

My dear son Eden,
yet to be born.

When I first felt you,
my soul was torn.

Now none of me,
belongs to myself.

You have half of me,
to keep up on your shelf.

My other part,
belongs to your mother.

With you both in my life,
I will need no other.

Our family tree,
is a little bit wack.

But, with each other,
we will never lose track,

Of the love,
that runs in our veins.

With love in your heart,
you'll withstand any pains.

Now I must go,
and leave pages curled.

But as I finish,
I leave you the world.
