A very short poem about love and destruction
Bitter pain courses through my veins.

For the second time I feel you torn away from me.

Timing and circumstance has never been with us.

I wonder how to accept that we don't get the chance this time around.

While my spike covered heart turns in my chest.

This time I pour salt in these wounds and pull at the scabs;

so I am left with the scars to remind me where love can lead.

What is left of you I cut away and burn down;

the destruction will be remembered before the joy.

Wall up my heart and toss the key.
