being trapped with no where to run
Where do you go when you’re trapped in a web

Where can you run, where can you hide

A peep hole here, a small shred of light there,

One little look at what’s outside, one little poke through the thread,

And all around you it closes up tighter, holding you fast

Still no where to run, still no where to hide…

Oh, where can you go trapped up in a web

All that you are is toy to be played with,

Strings tied to your limbs, a dancing puppet mastered,

With no where to run and no where to hide

Always kept trapped here inside

An immobile prison, an impenetrable cocoon

You try to escape, to run fast and far

But your caught on the strings, and dancing away

Where oh where can you go trapped in this web

These tears of pain, of hate, and tears of sorrow

But there’s no one here who cares about your fate

Anger swelling up deep inside, bursting to be let out

One more try, one more shot, that’s all you will get

One more run, clipping all strings

But they soon catch back up to you, tie you in ropes

Dragged back to your cage, to the web of puppeteers

And that’s when you know that you’ll always be trapped,

To live and be mastered till the end of your days.
