written for "Endless Night Dark Poetry Contest" has some rhyme but mostly free verse
these mournful refrains repeat one by one;
such woe, such  passion
escape this child's pale lips-- softly;
as a whisper would.

she waits for anything --if only the pain end.
she cries and waits desperately

He, death listens and waits..
in time he moves--quietly.
......................................................
this reaper kept time alone, as it stood still; calm.
the reaper waltzing slowly--
towards her slowly--
and took her hand for one last dance.
This dirge played as if for them
her hollow cries paved the highway
this dance floor dream scape highway
as a child and a reaper danced; sinfully.

…………………………………………
he offered a cold touch, a glance into this world's reality
human nature and all it's frailty;
she, no longer satisfied in secular grievances;
a calm realization overwhelmed her;
because life and death lie in her own hands
she felt no more need to live this misery.

………………………………………………….

hence, three fates await her
entangled and enchanted
she looked the reaper in the eye
and spoke these final words; enthusiastically;
grim reaper man, I'm ready.
..................................................\

she showed no hesitation,
her face blank, as his hand grasped hers
his carriage prepared to escort them
to the realm of divinity.

at a glance of what dungeons awaited
her heart filled for the first time in ages
again turned void

...such hollow cries emerged from
below in painful symphony.

these scars remain for all eternity.
