A 32 line poem about my wife.
My wife my life my love,
The beauty that rescued this beast.
She came from up above?
It wouldn’t surprise me the least.

I love her joyful smile.
She has a quick wit, so funny.
In laughter all the while.
Her way, so youthful and sunny.

O those gentle brown eyes.
A kiss so soft it makes me weak.
Her voice brings sweet replies.
Her delicate hands touch my cheek.

‘Tis certain she will be
A kind, loving mother someday.
It warms my heart to see,
They will know her calm, tender way.

With character so strong,
She has strength in body and mind.
So rarely in the wrong,
She’s thoughtful, generous and kind.

Her presence is so bold.
She gets by with fast intellect.
Direct but never cold,
She commands the deepest respect.

Without her can I live?
Can’t live without the air I breathe.
With such little to give,
Mine own heart to her I bequeath.

I’m here until the end.
There’s solace here, this house we’ve made.
Won’t break will always bend.
My love is hers, will never fade.
