Thinking of "home"
There is a place, that lives in my heart where the ocean breeze on the hottest day can send a chill up your spine and raise the little hairs on the back of your neck. But when you take a deep breath of this crisp air you fill your soul with a rich history of the people who have shaped this place.

Newfoundland, the place that lives in my heart.

You can listen to the serene sound of pebbles being swept up and down the coast by the tides of the ocean
Where massive ice burgs float past in their infinite patience
And whales feed and play in the bays
Atlantic puffins living their private life just off the coast
Ancient light houses brightly painted proudly guard the rocky shores

Moose freely roam through the bushes seeking berries and fresh water
Ponds stocked so well with the freshest largest fish anyone outdoors man couldn't resist
Citizens know each other and invite strangers into their homes for a tea and biscuit
Where family bonds over a Sunday dinner serving forty
And children joyously play as the adults gossip
Heritage is important and shows through in the buildings, people and culture

I miss home.
