a somewhat short poem describing the conflict in my mind
What happened to the hero?
The one who would save me?
It feels as though I am forsaken
For darkness is all I see
When I was young, I was mistaken
Life as child there was hope
Now all that is left is emptiness
And that circular rope

Darkness is my enemy
The hardest one to fight
For the darkness is me
Where is that flicker of light?
Wether it be brighter than the sun
Or just barely in sight

He whispers in my ear
Says what in my heart, I know is true
I don't want my Demon to disappear
So what should I do?
I don't want it all to end
But I want it to go away
This thought is the one that haunts me
Every single day

I wish to be saved
But I prefer damnation
What can I do?
I refuse salvation
If there truly is one last hero
He would surely see
The only way I may be saved
Is the end of me
