The way i feel is the most i can say. If you need back story its self explanatory.
I woke up this morning as if in a daze,
You were beside me in this empty bed.
My heart filled with joy with you at my side,
But in reality it was in my head.

It wasn’t you that was there wrapped in my arms,
Another had occupied your old space.
So as I lifted my sleep filled eyelids,
I was staring into another man’s face.

A face as handsome as yours once was to me,
With eyes almost the same color blue.
His hair is lighter and yours was darker,
And though my heart feels love it still isn’t you.

So I lay here and think softly to myself,
Do you feel the same as me when you wake?
When you look at her do you think of me?
Were all the lies you told worth being a fake?

Was she worth breaking my heart into pieces?
The tears that had fell from my eyes like rain,
The secrets that tore a marriage apart.
Was she worth the suffering, hurt and pain?
