getting through pain
When society falls under selfish behaviour
I’m the one who’s called for such a time as this
When corruption is made normality
My destiny will in that day take place
Counsel; something He’s gifted me in
Strength; merely something I’m clothed in
Wisdom; the spirit itself lives in me
My helper is there because I ask Him to be
My Saviour is always watching over me
Through Him, I am used as a safe place
His purity emits through my eyes
His glory light sparkles on my skin
Blessings aren’t always living in comfort
Blessings are something you can’t do within yourself
So laugh; laugh out loud, don’t listen to what they say
Dance; in the middle of a parking lot
Don’t you think they wonder?
Don’t you think they are filled with jealousy?
I have the world in my grasp
Everything works out for me
Keep yourself in evaluation, girl
Backbone of steel, and a pure tongue
I will follow Him all the days of my life
