"They silently walk pass each other, Never speaking a word again."
Strangers Again

She felt the stinging tears reach her eyes.
A scorching pain burned into her heart,
Slowly killing her on the inside.
She did not quite understand
Why this misfortune happened to her.

Days went on, feeling nothing but numbness.
The scars on her heart could never be covered.
She was like a queen, on top of the world,
Only to be knocked down again.

As she realized what this had done to her,
She knew something had to change.
Dwelling upon her broken heart would not fix anything.
Like a brave warrior she grew up to be,
She fought through the war and was at peace once again.

The pain was not as intense
Yet she still cringed at the sight of him.
Knowing that they could never be friends,
They silently walk pass each other,
Never speaking a word again.
