A short poems discussing one of lifes unfortunate circumstances.
In the End

You thought I would break after I found out?
Honey please, I’m stronger than that without a doubt!
It may have threw my mind for a daze,
But there’s always a way out of every maze.
People ask “Are you ok, do you want to cry”?
Sometimes I do, but then I find myself asking, “Why”?
So you can find satisfaction in knowing you won?
My days of letting you ruin my peace of mind are so over and done.
I will no longer allow you to have power over me.
Those words you spoke are irrelevant, I’m free.
I forgive you as much as I don’t want to.
Don’t get it wrong I’m doing it for me, not for you.
Unfortunately you’re not the only one to be blamed.
I myself too, should feel ashamed.
You were older and should’ve been a little more caring.
I was young and naive and should’ve have been a little less daring.
A little less daring with my own precious life,
No one can be trusted, just look at you, you had a wife.
Truthfully I’m so tire of talking about you.
I just hope you know now and always do,
That you no longer have any hold over me
Because in the end, I have forgiven you and now I can be completely happy.
