This is about me trying to save the relationship of the woman I love and the man she loves
Your love

Alone with my thoughts is where I now live.
Just thinking of your smile and the warmth your eyes give.

I can’t have you or hold you and that makes my life bare.
You love someone else and it’s for him that you care.

Your love for him struggles and I know that you try,
To put the piece’s back together and when they don’t fit you ask why.

So I try to help and to show you how his heart it may feel,
But all I really want to do is hold you and show you my love is for real.

But if I truly love you then I have to let go.
I have to give you what you need even if it’s to him you may go.

I’m willing to do that, I want your dreams to come true.
Even at the cost of living without you.

I’m really trying just to be a good friend,
It’s much harder than I thought it would be, because my love I can’t send.

I’ll continue to help you and do what I can,
I’ll continue to listen and when you’re sad hold your hand.

If I can help repair your love then that’s what I must choose.
Even it means your heart I may lose.

I won’t try to sway you from your hearts cry.
But I can’t help how I feel; I can’t help but ask why.

My love is so strong and it has no end,
But for now my heart will keep silent, I’ll just pray and pretend.

Whatever you need and all I can do,
That’s what I’ll be; I’ll be your friend, tried and true.

But if there’s ever room in your heart for someone like me,
I’ll treasure it forever and give it all that it needs.
