This poem is about a friend who has betrayed you just to be 'cool' and 'popular'.
A Friend You Never Had

They left me for the fame,

the popularity,

just to be cool.

They didn't care how it made me feel,

I was loosing a battle,

an argument,

a scuffle,

and they just stood there and pretended not to know me,

I felt betrayed,

a boat without a sail,

a canoe without a rower,

a dog without its master.

I felt lost.

I was overflowing with emotions,

betrayal,

I was a bird with no flock,

no mate,

no pack.

I walked away feeling defeated,

a king who has lost his crown,

lost in a world of disappointment.

A world that no-one will understand.
