I may not be the one who gets to hold your hand

I may not be the one who gets to help you stand

I may not be the one that you kiss and love

I may not be the one that you dream of

I may not be the one that you think of all day

I may not be the one that you will marry someday



I may not be the one, I am background decay



You are the one that's on my mind 24/7

You are the one that fell from my heaven

You are the one whose smile makes my day

You are the one whose laugh blows me away

You are the one my heart fears

You are the one who never hears



You are the one, my silent tears
