I wrote this recently when my close friend died. Its about the month February.

February is such a charm, stroking her hands across my arm
and I never knew how beautiful she was
until I heard her sing
until I heard her sing

February, don’t forget me
when you begin to sleep
when I begin to sleep
don’t forget about me,
while I’m sitting on the curb and your melting off the street.

Down in the drain
down in the drain
where u collected you
here the highway billboards are all the same
and moving on is something I wish I could undo

Never realized how beautiful you were
until you showed me how you were life's partner
to sleep is what you have now chosen to do
moving on is something I wish I could undo

February, don’t forget me
when you begin to sleep
when I begin to sleep
don’t forget about me,
while I’m sitting on the curb and your melting off the street
