The sadness of leaving behind childhood and entering the darker reality of an adult world
Crevice slowly creeps,
In rest it will ease,
At play it will soften,
In darkness it will cease,

Take from him his tail,
Pin it on the beast,
Hand in hand spinning round,
Playing hide and seek,

If you scream; you're free,
If you weep; you'll flee,
If you stay, you'll have to play
Double jeopardy,

As you fall, to the floor,
Scrambling for your feet,
I'll be here, never fear,
To rock you back to sleep.
