poem i wrote about a friend watching a friend go through depression
body Replaced.

Time ticks by,

But the scars still remain.

It’s been years,

Or maybe time’s hands are broken.

Moving to fast

For her heart to disintegrate

The pain of love’s abuse.

The wounds are way to deep.

His lies lacerated,

Not just her heart,

But her will to love.

He crucified the love within her

And left her heart broken.

A broken heart left bleeding

Burying her soul in depression.

He broke her smile,

And replaced it with a frown.

He’s gone, but still makes her cry,

The memories steadily driving her insane.

Her face so coved with tears

She drowns in them, but he doesn’t care that she’s choking.

If could step into the past,

I would make my hate,

Wrap around his neck like a noose,

Stand him on a stool, and kick it.

Him and the floor separated,

Only inches apart.

But he’s protected by love,

Saved by her.

Salvation received from the heartbroken

Saved by the heart he left bleeding,

She loves him through the depression.

Even though he broke her smile

And replaced it with a smile.
