A poem/story about life between trees and people in an eerie format
Decaying Tree's

Down a path, she
Walks alone,
A winter night,
Away from home.

A moon lit sky, smiles
amongst the trees.

Broken fences, squawking
Crows,
Scattered leaves, mixed
In snow.

Season change, has swallowed
Summers seeds..

Winter kisses, in the
Air,
Sticking to her golden
Hair,

Chelsea wonders, how
The trees can change?

In the summer, bright
As day,
In the winter, dead
Decay..

A form of life, that
Loves to rearrange.

Gusts of wind, consumes
Her heat,
Chelsea hears a darkened
Creek,

A hollow howl, bellows
From above..

Flapping wings, from
Frightened crows,
Runs a chill, inside her
Bones.

Chelsea clinches in her
Sweaty glove..

Moving limbs, are
Shaking snow,
Off themselves, now
Chelsea knows,

What she sees, brings
An instant fear..

Little twigs, turn
Into fingers,
As a constant echo
Lingers,

Chelsea quickly, covers
Up her ears..

From the dark, a swooping
Whistle,
Is an arm, that's full of
Thistle,

Knocking Chelsea to
The hardened ground..

From the trees, come
Spoken words,
Of how they change?
Is what they heard..

Telling Chelsea what it
Is she found..

Consuming life, creates
A soul,
Inside a tree, that's growing
Old,

Is how we change, during
Bitter season..

Day by day thru winter
Months,
Consuming life, fulfilling
Wants,

Why we feed on you,
There is a reason...

For many years, you
Cut us down,
Building homes, and
Building towns,

You feed on us, it's part of
Your survival,

So is it strange, that
We are feeding?
Upon your race, we to
Are needing,

Apart of you to generate
Revival?

We fed ourselves, with
Tiny creatures,
Time went by, a hate grew
Deeper,

Then we opted, for a
Brand new taste..

As we lost, so many
Brothers,
Sisters, fathers and our
Mothers,

Our existence, traded for
A waste..

Chelsea pleaded, to the
Trees,
Forgiveness and a final
Plea,

Promising, to fight on
Their behalf..

To find a way, to keep
Them standing,
Spreading words of
Understanding,

Just a chance, to change
A painful past..

Chelsea vowed, a
Dedication,
To the trees,
Modification,

To a world, ignoring it's
Own beauty,

We can learn, to live
As one,
To help us grow, so
We become,

Protecting life, together
As a duty..

Silence child, time to
Listen,
We accept with one
Condition,

Only if, we see you
Make a difference..

Spread your word, we
Will be watching,
Destroying us, should be
Stopping..

Or we dedicate, to weed
Out your existence..
