Describes children- especially babies.
Small and insignificant, lying on soft sheets.
A jutting lower lip accompanied by an adorable glare.
Weary lids fluttering closed like butterflies’ wings.
Lovely enigmas gently encrypt into the brain,
Invisible to outsiders beneath a perfect surface.
Waking with the rays of morning,
Blinking up into a loving home.
Gazing about in pure, innocent joy—
Curiosity overruling other instinct.
Rapid flickering eyes producing persuading salty droplets
To gather a delicious white delicacy from her mother
Or to get assistance from an elder
What makes this infant different, special?
Could anything so immature to make a difference?
But this child is the universe for someone.
For someone, this baby is a child, a friend,
This baby is sweetness, joy, compassion, and empathy,
This baby is deep hopes and dreams,
This baby is love.
For someone, this baby is everything.
