a person undeserving of the title
When you shot me out twenty-seven years and four months ago,

little did you know that a little seed can grow on his own without much guidance and with so much fire.

For all I know you probably forced it on her just like when you tried to rape her sister or when you kept my mother between your legs and beat here
senseless.

I should have shot you then, but I chose to shoot for the stars instead, so I can shine some light on people afar.

Mixed messages were fed to me like cereal daily, to believe in facades you told me.

by hitting my mommy and then buying me candy, it's okay baby.

Dust it under the blanket and get it out of the way.

You gave me every reason to fail but I never gave up

You killed everything beating inside of me but I will always fight to live it up.

You underestimate the young boy that will grow up to be a man, a father, and a role-model.

My children will grow up knowing their father made something out of nothing

and they will know that their grandfather was a failure and a poor excuse of a human-being who was always fronting.

You will never define who I am and I will never be a product of my own environment

because my choices and will to change will ultimately prove that my existence will far outshine your darkness.
