A look at the effects of a first love.
In this world I see crowds.
Crowds with souls of a selfish nature.
Eyes too clouded by the mundane,
Distracted hearts and heartless thoughts.
Cruel intentions lurk inherently,
Hands create the wrong, voices encourage despair.

The world slows, shadows hide.
With the beat of a heart, I know peace-
The ability to breathe too deep.
In a touch I've found a sacred beauty,
a threatening carelessness,
a failing protection.
The goodness of a soul scours my own.
Detoxifying
Renewing
Erasing
In you, I find the strength to fall.
