Fighting an uphill battle...
I'm walking alone on such a steep bank
next to the stream of Broken Dreams.
My body is tired, it wants to collapse;
Mind thinks mostly of hateful things
so I don't use it often, it's a mess.
My soul holds on for dear life
to the body that has lost its will
and the mind which has lost its Way. (reference to Tao)
Not to mention the muddy bank...

Sky Father hear me now!
Earth Mother needs your help!
And so do I... It's hard enough
to hold onto my own dreams,
let alone trying to fix what's already broken...

These hands tremble as the air fills my lungs again.
Feels like forever since I lost my breath.
Upon its return I feel like brand new,
but I still have these battle scars.
When my lungs are finally full, I cannot help
but to release a mighty battle cry.
My lungs are empty yet again.

Sky Father are you there?
Chaos is turning sour.
Evil runs rampant in our Eden.
So much it hurts my heart...
I almost can't appreciate what little good is left...
I fear for it.

Each time i reveal my lions heart,
I feel the wicked watching their backs.
Their earthly dreams paving roads beside this bank
which i refuse to walk upon, so I'm stuck here
peering up, angrier than I am dirty.
My soul shines its elements so brightly;
Lighter, Burning, Sturdy, Boiling.
Jumping into the stream just to cool off,
I immediately regret my decision and realize
there are souls in here and it's not a stream...
These are their tears. They are just like me...

Sky Father. Now I see.
Earth Mother needs our help.
I'll rescue each person as I burn.
My role in life is not to save the world,
it's to bring hope back to my peers,
return to them the passion they have lost.
Together we will all be the way.
No leader, nowhere to go.
Just hang in there until the river runs dry
and we can walk our own path.
We can share the world.
