The words of this poem came to me at one particular crossroad in life.
A journey, foreshadowed by the remnants of a life in doubt
like the untold story on a roll of film,
a means to the revelation of certain bliss
or the begrudged reflection of squandered youth.

Yet we seek to deny its call,
this alluring voice that echoes through time,
that either haunts or welcomes with warm embrace.
Should we fear the raven and not the approach

Carry this promise of despair and hope,
for they unite in both wake and sight,
just as a bridge needs more than stone
to make our journey complete.

Look at the empty canvas,
your story lives there.
