A man who becomes his own demon.
When I reflect on my life with you

I can only see different forms of myself

I wonder if I ever had a clue

Of all my feelings I had to shelf

The roles you made me play

This act forever ageless

Always left to play the pray

My will at the mercy of your justice

My mind held for ransom

I can feel you course through my veins

As you tare at my hearts chasm

Where your tyranny will soon reign

Desecrating my sanity’s last sanctum

As last thoughts of hope begin to wane

You’ve at last made me numb

My death all but fleeting

Forever bound to my chains

They keep me from aging

With nothing to gain and everything to lose

This insanity continuously looping

This whispering blade, my only muse

My hatred of you never yielding

Your life it fades, as my blade pursues

With the scream of a midnight killing

As the last of you I defuse

Tonight freedom is forever dripping

Banishing any recurring thought of you

But even I knew within

My memory is still your weapon

Because you’re written all over my skin

And I have become my own demon.
