This is just a simple crush
He can't see the way I look,

Admiration glistening in my eyes

He always acts like he's the better man,

Conceited but so humble I just melt

He smile continuously rings in my head,

Repeating like a country song

He never notices that way I laugh,

Emphasized for his own purpose

I always try to be that girl he wants,

But the list keeps changing every day

I can just see the two of us playing in my mind,

When I think about it my mind works over time,

I can see him holding my hand,

We would be laughing together

I can see him wearing my sunglasses,

Acting like myself

I can see us slow dancing to the beat,

No matter what's playing

I see him planting me firmly on my feet

When I get scared

And when I'm mad or just plain sad

You'd beat up anyone who messed with me

Write cheesy poems on a napkin in a restaurant

Just to make me smile

Play your guitar in the front of my house,

Like a scene from Romeo and Juliet

I would force you to watch some romantic chick-flicks that you hate

You would mock the plot the whole time

I can't stop smiling whenever you're around

Can't stop hoping my dream would come true

My heart beats faster when our eyes meet

It's like it was meant to be

Your eyes would always fall to mine,

And we'd stare with faint smiles,

Knowing each other was on our minds

You'd have my back when nobody else does

Holding me up when I want to fall

Saving me from my darkest fears,

Believing me in my dreams

If only you knew

You are my hero
