THIS POEM IS ABOUT LIFES EXPERIENCE
As I look back over the years
I have cause to consider
this man I have become.
I look in the mirror, my reflection
is but the surface
and yet it speaks volumes.
My eyes reflect my soul,
is this not eternity?
Scars upon my soul I see, cut deep,
now long since healed.
The lesson learned?
I choose my footsteps more carefully.
The white in my hair,
passion now turned to wisdom,
From the day that I was pushed
from my mothers womb
till now, sweet is the laughter
grandchildren make.
Is this not experience
that has bent my knee in humble prayer?
I came into this world memory void, but
I shall leave with a love
that has no beginning, and has no end.
