The irony of the dream
They with all, the flowing ocean of wealth sourced by the evergreen
hunger. The drive a record player caught stuttering uncontrollably.
The joyous desire, an ancient relic. The race for invisible promise undying.

The eternal scale weighed down; joy and love but featherly.
The innocent born yearning, wanting but blinded by the knowledgeable.
The choice only of token value – to eat or be eaten.

They with none, the forgotten lake of ambition, unsourced
for living memory. Content despite the stalled quest of treasure.
Love and health chase, they run not from the virtue visible.

Contentedness – the only true of synonym of the virtue in pursuit.
Each peak conquered, retrospectively simply a hurdle conquered;
Each gold further driving away the athlete’s true satiety.
The only true irony: The Pursuit of Happiness
