A poem about coming to terms with death
A moment passed -not long ago

the smoldering candle

wick aglow

the wax still hot

absent of flame

that never seems to cool again-still hot yet smoldering

affect the same

A second turns though is not spent

It merely notes where it will and went

With complacency bordering contempt

No utterance fades into silent despair

Listen hard-  it still lingers there

Out of range of earthly ear,

Travelling through the stratosphere

The rhythm beats without the drum

and the earth still turns without the sun
