Life, Death, and going wrong somewhere in the middle.
Frailties of an Institution

Born at once, into a song and dance;
         to a place, prior to greed and commerce.
The child’s stance - aspiring to parental importance;
         lacking the grace, that should one day replace.

Boldness grows, as the youth’s maturity shows;
         but thoughts sink in, as he ponders a sin.
Against corporal bellows, insolence clouds the halos;
         and within his kin, a shining light starts to dim.

Released a lifetime later - An institution hater;
         passioned to malice, with a heart black and callous.
His soul pock-marked and cratered, becomes a vicious debater;
         then denies the chalice, condemning himself to abyss.

A visit with three knocks, after the ticking of three tocks.
Hooded figure beckons his fate; alas, the hour was too late.
