Short poem about poaching for a contest.

A young mother watches carefully-
The children mustn't stray too far.
There's danger in these woods today.
She's sensing it come closer.

Distant noises alert her-
CHILDREN! WE MUST GO!
A noise she's heard but distantly;
Pain unlike she's known.

The children are confused
But quickly take flight.
Motehr should follow shortly.
They are alone now.

He drags his trophy to his truck;
Laughing about the kill.
Never caring about the destruction-
Simply enjoying the hunt.
