Sometimes growing up is not an option
Trapped between two worlds.

Thoughts and emotions trapped between two worlds
weighted down with knowledge and tenderness to scorn
one world is dead, the other powerless to be born.

A youthful face in a public place ambigous from birth
shameful acts yet another little lamb to the slaughter
with a fading voice he calls across a colder and colder water.

I'll at ease you cannot accept him as he himself cannot
frightened underneath just responding to the pain
trapped between two worlds the loss is greater than the gain.

Assuming childhood freedom is such a strange disease
he cannot go back to sculpture another
forbidden by an absent father and his whore of a mother.

Trapped between two worlds allways uncertain and angry
tears are no stranger to his ashamed cheeks
Despising himself, and scared of finding what he ultimately seeks.

Calling across the cold water are there others in his condition
thousands of echoing voices with no one hearing there call
wanting to leave, yet anxious to see, to understand and respond to them all.
