As I look out
Upon the day
The world fades
From black to gray
The sky blushes
To greet the morn
A bird sings out
The silence torn
The slivered moon
Drifts off to sleep
Nestled down
In clouds so deep
No longer in
My bed I stay
As I look out
Upon the day
