A poem about a young daughter who is missing her father that has passed away.
I Miss You

My Father

Was such a good dad

But when I think of him now

My mood changes to sad

That day I got the news

I dropped down to my knees in disbelief

My world stood still

I had so much grief

I go to church, believe in God

But sometimes get confused

I find myself asking him

How would you feel if I took your dad too?

I’m only in high school

I really need my dad

He was the one I blew steam off to

When I was mad

But as the weeks go by

I’m getting a little better

I know he is with the angels

And my heart is no longer tethered
