A poem about a prisoner that gets mocked by the fence around the prison.
Prisoner

I am a prisoner

For the rest of my life

One hour a day is all I get

One hour a day of fresh air and sunlight

But also one hour to stare at the bob wire chain link fence

It’s more than just a fence

It is like looking at a sun that never rises

I sit on the bench and it laughs at me

One hour a day

I am a prisoner.
