The problem in running away is find a place to run to.
Stuck Between Oz And Wonderland

Father’s eyes too glazed to care
Mother wants to runaway and be
mad as the march hare so tell me
where do I go from here?

Where do rejects like me runaway to?
I’m too old for NeverLand and Peter Pan.
Take me to a place filled with rejects like me
Somewhere I can be free.

I’ve never swam in in the milky way
like I always wanted to, because I’ve
been stuck in a pool of my very own tears.

I’ve chased every rabbit that I could.
I never slayed my jabberwocky.
No one ever invited me to a tea party.
Never stood up to the queen.
I always listened to Jiminy Cricket.
So where does a reject
like me got to?

Where do I go from here?
I was never swept off my feet.
Every lion had a heart full of courage.
There was no place over the rainbow.
I couldn’t wear the ruby slippers.

I wish I could fall asleep in a field of poppies.
I wish I could paint the Queen’s roses.
I wish the pixie dust on my hands wouldn’t wash away.
I wish there was a place for me.
