Dark poem that you can draw your own conclusions from
Torment the mind,
Torment the soul,
Play your old tricks,
Try to make me feel whole,
It never works,
I've played your game,
Dusk turns to dawn,
And you're always to blame.

It's a vicious cycle,
A casket of lost dreams,
And if we both hurt,
Why am I the one that screams?
Stop saying sorry,
I won't bury the hatchet,
This is what you signed up for,
It'll stay with me to the casket.

So was it all worth it?
The deceit in your heart?
Karma is a bitch,
My soul now departs.
Scar upon scar,
Wound upon wound,
My flesh gives way easy,
The bleeding makes me swoon.

I stay awake a while,
As the shock takes its hold,
Bend me, break me,
The pulse still runs cold.
You had your chance,
It was a magnificent run,
Now that we've both lost,
Please tell me who won?
