It's a poem about the despair of a broken heart, and the gift to love again.
Sounding Bells

Hello god of grey,

Has that shadow strangled your bleeding heart,
Like a twine cutting through weeping flesh?
Has your thumping been turned to a throbbing,
The fire of life to the scourge of death?

Listen god of day,

To the bells that ring in the distant tower,
Though you can't see through those clouded eyes.
Hear the harmony and the vibrant sounds?
The whistles and laughter that part the sky?

She sees you god of stay,

She calls to you like a siren of kindness.
Will you sail forth and answer the call?
For like a shooting star that lights the iris,
She'll guide you to a heavenly fall.
