This poem is about the shooting at Sandy Hook. Twenty children were killed.
The little children are among the clouds with Christ

I went walking to the park to see the children play,
but the park was empty, no children here today.
I felt a hollow hell in my head, burning me by a
slithering darkness that deprives me of divine grace
and the eclipse of the children's joy.

There had been a tragedy, a terrible occurrence,
a gunman shot and killed twenty children.

Dear Community, grieve for your lost children, found
now at another realm, to soothe your souls, to let all the
tears trickle down, embracing each other in this tumultuous
time. Now you have time to heal, day by day in
Providence's will.

The little children are among the clouds with Christ
