bad man, little girl, river
There was a little girl
whos name I don't remember
she use to pick flowers
down by the river.

she looked so sweet
in her little yellow dress
lacy white socks
and bonnet with a clasp.

there was a man
top hat and cloak
he darkened the roadway
every where he walked.

go hide little children
and don't make a sound
for a monster has
come to town.

lock your doors
and windows tight
find a place to hide
don't go into the night,
.
the stranger left town
took his darkness with him.
the ones who didn't hide
cried as he engulfed them.

go hide little children
and don't make a sound
for a monster has found
his way to town.

there was a little girl
whos name I don't remember
she use to pick flowers
down by the river.
